The neurology patient was in his 30s before anyone acknowledged that he had a real medical disorder and was not just making things up. Andrew Banooni (pictured left) encountered the patient in his first two weeks of medical school, an experience that taught him an "incredible lesson" about the trials of getting an accurate diagnosis.
